Join our worldwide network engineering team to design and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers digital transformation across continents. As a Remote Network Engineer, you’ll collaborate with global tech teams to build secure, high-performance networks that transcend borders – all while working from your preferred location.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy and optimize global cloud network infrastructure with automated scaling capabilities
- Execute network deployments, device upgrades, decommissions, and RMAs globally, using automation tools where possible.
- Troubleshoot cross-border network incidents, coordinating with vendors across timezones to meet SLAs
- Fortify our worldwide network against emerging threats through continuous security hardening
- Develop documentation and processes for distributed network operations
- Monitor and analyze CMDB and network alerts to ensure system health.
- Work with automation tools (Ansible, Python) to streamline network tasks.
- Participate in network architecture discussions, providing insights on design and automation.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols: VLANs, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, BFD, NAT, ACLs, IPSEC, SNMP (MPLS is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with Juniper (JunOS), Cisco (IOS), Cumulus (Linux), and RestAPI.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, and monitoring platforms.
- Basic Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Python, Ansible, Go) for network automation.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Certifications such as JNCIA, CCNA, or CCNP preferred.
